Review: Back in the light

I had a makeup mirror exactly like this one that lasted about 20 years until the bulbs on each side kept flickering off. So if this one lasts half as long as the last one I'll be happy. I especially like the magnifying side of the mirror for plucking my eyebrows and the day to night light so you don't overdo your makeup for day wear. I can see even without my Acuvues in. A dependable and functional mirror. I had to order one as soon as the old one gave out since I now can't live without one. Review: Be prepared to see EVERYTHING on you're face up close & personal!

I'll start out by saying this is the 1st lighted make up mirror I have ever had so I don't have much to compare it too but I still can review it & tell you what I think. Maybe it's just me, but it takes a little getting use to using it at 1st. I hated it at 1st because it took up so much space & two of the light settings might as well not even be on there because they are so gaudy looking. So I waited over a month to write a review & I did get use to to it & like it very much. It is bright enough for me (I also turn on the bedroom light while using it). I don't get why anyone would say it's not bright enough because as the title of my review states, you can see every little blemish, unwanted hair, & uneven skin spots on you're face but hey, that's what it's for, was just a little scary at 1st (lol). I personally don't use the side mirrors & wish they weren't there as they just take up space (but some may like them). Out of the 4 settings I use 2. Day & Home. "Office" looks hideous & yellow & "Evening" is just too dark for me. It also comes with an outlet on the base to plug a curling iron in which I really like. So far everything works correctly. Just if you don't need those side mirrors, get one without because it's a space grabber. Review: Beauty comes from within also!

Only one thing I thought Jerdon could improve on is the slide indicator knob that slides to change the four color-correcting lighting tones. It is chintzy,however it works fine. I only hope it is durable enough to last years of sliding.Something I didn't think about was my vanity counter-top height. If it is low you will be slumped over to use it. I am having a stand made for mine.Wouldn't it be awesome to have an adjustable height built-in? The main reasons I bought this one over all the other choices is the convenient electric outlet on the front and the two glare-free fluorescent bulbs. Good luck with your choice!! Review: Best Ever!

This is by far the best lighted mirror I have ever owned. I don't use it to apply makeup, as, I have, unfortunately for a woman, a very hairy chin. This mirror is very bright and since the bulbs are fluorescent they don't get extremely hot or blind me after using it for a while. It also has a 5X magnification which allows me to see every little whisker, making it very easy for me to pluck them. I have owned similar items over the years, but this one deserves laurels!
