Review: nicely made, needs brighter light

I was pleasantly surprised to find that this mirror was quite heavy and seems to be well-made. Although the mirror part itself is small, it is certainly large enough to apply makeup by and the whole thing doesn't take up much room. It looks good sitting on a vanity. My only complaint is the dim light. Because, although I presume the dim light is to protect your eyes, you really need more light. And while it is adequate -barely- a brighter light would have made it an exceptionally good mirror, rather than just a good one.
