I've never used serious hair treatment products before - the previous treatment include Asience products (http://www.amazon.com/Asience-KAO-Treatment-180g/dp/B000JJXGDU/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=beauty&qid=1240770409&sr=1-3)

You don't need a LOT of the keratase masquintense product but because I have a lot of hair, i probably use more than most people.

After using it for nearly 3 weeks, I do feel like my hair is smoother, but because my hair is pretty damaged (from yuko and then perm and dye), a miracle didn't happen! but i duno if any product could work miracles on my hair!

the reason i gave 4 stars was because i don't feel it is significantly different/better than the asience products~ hope this helps...
