Obviously this is a verbena extract from lemon verbena plants so it will and does smell like lemon. This translates into a light and fresh scent not the heavy flowery sledge hammer
variety. It is also an 'eau du toilette' not perfume, so its strength will not last as long as a perfume. It is an alternative to heavier scents in people sensitive to environmental allergens
excepting the verbena plant. This is a good choice/alternative to no scent at all when close contact is unavoidable or if the other individual's tastes are unknown.
