I was given my first bottle of L'Occitane Huile de Douche d'Amande as a gift from a friend. And I was hooked! I asked my husband to find it on-line so I wouldn't have to go to the mall. He surprised me with the Amazon.com Order ~ I got two bottles :) Thank you Amazon.com for making his On-line purchase so easy...great price always helps. When I think of an almond scent, I don't think of this scent at all. This smells a bit like almond oil with a bit of floral, which is to say, bland, soft, inoffensive and mostly unisex. The scent isn't my favorite, but it grows on you and after a while you'll find yourself craving this scent.
It is not the strongest moisturizer. While the texture of this is like that of an oil, it does contain soap ingredients too, so it thoroughly lathers most of the moisture away, leaving you not at all greasy and only lightly moisturized. I still use lotion after, and I like the almond line lotion to harmonize with the scent of this.
It is a very good cleanser and gets off even tough dirt (I am a landscaper, so I have tested this!).

Based on the feedback here, I expected this product to moisturize my skin, eliminating the need for additional creams, lotions, etc. It smells very nice and feels good, but its moisturizing effects disappear very quickly. After an hour or so, my skin was dry. Will not reorder. Still ISO an effective shower oil ... Review: Shower Oil - Bang for your Buck and like a Spa Day Every Day!

This shower oil is very smooth. It lathers up so it really can also serve as an extremely moisturizing soap but I mix the oil with regular soap. I use it every day and I feel my skin being so soft and supple after a shower. I live in Las Vegas with an extremely dry climate to deal with and this shower oil makes my hot showers a little less damaging on my skin.
I bought this bottle about 3 months ago and it's only half done. You only need a tiny but for each use to lather up so don't be freaked by the price tag.
L'Occitane products are always quality and this one doesn't disappoint. It's my favorite thing to use on my body.

Product is too strong. I broke into a rash and was rushed to emergency room.
