I too bought this and used 40 percent peroxide. It was fine for about 25 minutes and it started to burn, made blisters and made my skin very red. Had to wash it off quickly. If I had left it on for 45 minutes, it probably would have lightened all the way, but I couldn't leave it. So I will have to lighten my roots again. The color worked, but couldn't leave it on long enough to finish because of my skin blistering and turning red and burning. I've always used bleach on my hair and 40 percent peroxide and thought changing to a color would be not as hard on my hair. It was pretty hard on my skin.
