Review: Moisturizing rejuvenation for your face

I absolutely love this product. I have had my little sample tube for a few years now, and have just started using it last week--my face was really chapped from the harsh winter weather that came so suddenly. It says "gel mask," so I assumed it would harden and I'd have to peel it off of my face. Au contraire! The hydra intense mask soaks right into your skin. The instructions say simply to leave on for five minutes and "remove surplus product with tissue but DO NOT RINSE." I don't even find the excess-product removal necessary. My chapped face is gone, replaced by very soft, smooth skin.
I highly recommend this product--I don't normally advocate buying really expensive beauty products, but I haven't found a discount store product that does quite what the Lancome Hydra Intense gel mask does. I prefer it as a moisturizer (for the night) over anything else--even Philosophy's Hope in a Jar, which I find leaves my skin a little too oily for my taste (though it works wonders on hands). For the day, Aveeno Positively Radiant daily moisturizer SPF 15 is inexpensive & works wonders; for overnight, definitely Lancome Hydra Intense.
