Product reviews of Laura Mercier Eau de Toilette - Vanille Gourmande - May be sent by Ground shipment only Review: Does not live up to expectations Beauty product: 1 Stars
I love perfumes with vanilla tones during the day for work. They generally are not as cloying or overpowering as a floral noted perfume. My suggestion is to spend half the money or less and go to Bath and Body Works and get one of their vanilla based creams or body splashes. The price for the scent of this Mercier Eau de Toilette is hard to justify once you try it. It does not smell any better than something decent bought at Bath and Body Works or Victoria's Secret, but costs a lot more.
Review: Gorgeous and worth the price Beauty product: 5 Stars
I received a sample of this in a makeup swap I had on my a MakeupAlley account. I received the Viktor & Rolf "Flowerbomb" and this scent came as an "extra."
The Flowerbomb was gross in comparison. If you are looking for a vanilla scent that is strong but *not* overpowering and has amazing staying power, this is the scent for you. It is also sweet, but not disgustingly so!
Sure, go spend $20 or so at Bath and Body or Victoria's Secret... but get a scent that is overpowering and fades into nothing more than a musky afterthought!!!!!
Review: I love this stuff Beauty product: 5 Stars
I just bought my second bottle of Vanille Gourmande. My first bottle lasted over a year. I receive more compliments on this perfume than on anything else I've ever worn. It's not overpowering (assuming you don't bathe in it). I think it's well worth the $50.
