Review: Pretty colors

I bought "Mulberry" and "Sugar Violet". Both are beautiful colors that go on more sheer than what the color in the pot indicates. I thought the lip stain lasted a long time, even though I drank coffee all morning. I gave it only 3 stars because even though it's supposed to feel balmy; once the creaminess wears off, it feels dry on my lips. Review: Stays and stays!

I have been using the Mulberry lip stain on myself and my clients for 3 years and consider it one of the few true genius beauty products available. For value and practicality it can't be beat: I put on one application for an evening out and it lasts through an entire play, including intermission refreshments. On Caucasian women, Mulberry looks natural but dramatic at the same time -- it is obvious that you are wearing lip color, but because it is sheer and matte it doesn't look overdone. This makes it totally wearable in office settings -- and can be topped with a shimmering gloss for night if you want more drama. I am now using only my second pot, as it is highly pigmented and one little lip brush dab is enough to cover both lips. You should know that it is not the kind of lip "stain" like the liquids from Benefit and LORAC that "sink" into the lips or skin. The Laura Mercier product behaves more like it is bonding with the lips -- but not soaking in. Review: not worth it

At first I tried this out and thought it was really great. I bought the scarlet stain which is a vibrant red and it's really pretty. The only problem is that it's just like normal lipstick. It came off right away and I was really disappointed. I'm gonna be returning it tomorrow for something long lasting
