Review: An utter mess but worth it

I have been using henna from this company for a long, long time. I am getting more and more gray, but I use their regular product which is a lot simpler to use. You just mix it with hot distilled water and put it on.
This one comes with two pouches---one you mix with hot distilled water and let sit an hour and the second one you mix with hot distilled water and let set 3 or four hours.
This is the best way to put it on---and believe me, I have tried the paint brush and tried the mustard bottles. The best way is to get a hairdresser to do it for you---not kidding (and offer her half of what you want to pay, because after the first time she does it, she will double her price---I know this for a fact, it happened to me with different people)
Skeeeeeered off yet?---it gets worse, so buckle up. (OK, I will tell you here that if you want hair that shines brilliantly in the sun and if you want people to stop you on the street and tell you how beautiful your hair is---then read on, because that happens to me all the time!)
OK, if you do it yourself---this is the best way.
Mix up the mud---you want it to be the consistancy of a thick pudding---if it is too runny, it will run down the sides of your face---ewwww, and it stains. If it is too thick, it will clump on your head and not spread---err on the side of thick, because you can always add more water if you see it won't spread. Use a plastic or wooden spoon and a plastic or glass bowl--I don't know why.
Then put vaseline all over your face and (you may extend this to other areas later on).
Put cotton in your ears.
Draw a hot tub of water.
Buy yourself a nice big mirror you can set on the side of the tub.
Get a plastic comb and put on your gloves and get in the tub and start parting your hair as far over to one side as possible, and slather it all the way down (from root to hair end) in one direction, the direction of the side with the least hair. Then do another little part on your non henna'd side and flip the hair over to the henna side and slather the stuff with your hands from root to hair end, and just keep going. Pay attention to how much you are using, because you do not want to run out. The results are not fun! Trust me!
When you get all that done, go back and try to do the rest of the side where you started and the back as well as you can---good luck. Then wrap your head with the plastic cap and add another one with an elastic rim to hold the first in place---do not let the elastic touch your face, unless you want to have a henna ring around the face. Again, trust me!
Now at this point you will have more than a little henna on your body and you are in that nice warm tub and you then splash it off, dunk your comb and bowl, and the mess is over. And, depending on how fast you went, you may have a few paisley tatoos.
Wrap your head in a towel and find something to do. I am telling you, you have to check a strand every hour or so (or you will get no take or a really dark take). That's how scientific this is.
Then rinse it out. Then repeat with the next one.
I love the product. I actually quit using it and tried hair color because you have no mess and a whole lot more control on the color outcome---and my hair felt like straw and my scalp burned and I came back to my little mess. And I had three men stop and flirt with me the day I came back. Uh-huh!
P.S.---it stinks. Wash your hair with baking soda when you get done, just slap it on and rub it through your head and rinse it out---you must do this or you will stink for days.
Also, this is a pure henna product and the only one I could find---all the other ones I have seen have a lot of other stuff in them
