I had read about this mascara on Makeup Alley and thought that I wanted to continue using a more natural product, that creates a more lush look for my lashes and is more "green". I am trying to buy more beauty products that will keep me from adding more plastic into a landfill. Wow, this is a fantastic product!!! It is in your control as to how much water you add to the brush. Less water makes for a more intense lash, more for a lighter application. I highly recommend this mascara for all of these reasons and that it is easily washed off without having to use a separate eye makeup remover.
