It won't hold all day in windy conditions, however, it's very useful on rather fine hair (mine) when you're inside all day. I suggest using the Gastby to style, then hold it in with hairspray, if you expect windy conditions. One down side: it's a bit hard to get out of your hair in the shower; you'll have to scrub a little with shampoo. Other than that, excellent product! :)
