I was skeptical about a brush making much difference. My daughter's hair is very fine and she wants to grow it very long. I've purchased many brushes in order for her to both easily deal with tangles and be happy to brush her hair and I insist that she keeps it from looking unkempt-- this brush does the trick. I hesitated when I saw the price but it's worth every penny.
