Review: Absolutely works for children (and adults), not at all cruel!

This amazing product got my four year old to stop sucking her thumb in one day! (And this is a child who had her thumb in her mouth anytime she was not eating or speaking.) Other reviewers have done the taste justice...I just wanted to share technique. I didn't want to shame my daughter into changing this bad habit, so I told her I bite my nails (I do, when one is broken) and that we would break our bad habit together. I also bought a copy of the Berenstain Bears the Bad Habit, which we read before giving ourselves Malvala manicures. It only took one time of her tasting this stuff for her to quit...my experience was much more enlightening. I had no idea how many times my fingers were in my mouth until this nasty stuff was on. Also, if your finger finds the inside of your nostril, you will be tasting the stuff for hours. :) It broke a bad habit I didn't even realize I had! :) Review: Absolutley the BEST of it's kind

I purchased "bite no more" nail polish from Sally's here in town to help my 3 year old stop sucking her thumb. It started to work, she didn't like the taste, but after about a week she realized if she just sucked through the bad taste for a minute or so it would go away. Or if she washed her hands it would go away. It just wasn't working. So I decided to go with Mavala. I ordered it here on Amazon and was really hoping it would work since it was so much more expensive than the other stuff. We tried it and she hasn't sucked her thumb since!! She JUST turned 3, but she tells me, mommy I don't suck my thumb anymore! She's proud of herself and I'm so happy I decided to purchase this. It tastes REALLY bad and it DOESN'T come off by washing hands, or anything else that I've noticed but time. It says to reapply every 2 days, but we made it part of our bedtime ritual to apply every night. (bath, lotion, pjs, nail stuff.) She does tell me sometimes when she's eating finger foods that it tastes bad because her finger medicine got on it, but it's so worth not having her suck her thumb anymore. She was VERY into her thumb. Actually one of her ultrasound pictures she was sucking her thumb...so it was a total comfort habit for her from day one. I highly highly recommend this product. We've been using it for about a month and sometimes now we don't put it on for days and she's still not sucking her thumb. Thank you so much!!! This stuff is amazing!!! In 1 day, it worked on my 4 year old that even sucked his thumb in his sleep. I even used it on my 2 year old and after 3 days she totally stopped. I will say it did cause her to gag and throw up the first 3-4 times she tried it. It does say to only use on children over 3 but my pediatrician said it was okay. Overall,I would totally endorse this product. It is amazing even after 2 months it still works. Review: Amazing

My husband and I cannot believe how fast this product worked for our child! No more thumb sucking!!Within a few days he was done with the thumb. We are just amazed.Definately worth purchasing if you have a thumb sucker.
