Product reviews of Mavala Stop - Helps Cure Nail Biting and Thumb Sucking, 0.3-Fluid Ounce Review: Amazing! Beauty product: 5 Stars
This stuff is the best! Nothing else worked. We tried everything to get our son to stop his thumb sucking habit. He stopped in one day! I am still applying the solution at night while he sleeps (every other night) just to make sure he doesn't start up again. I want to be sure we completely break the habit. I would very highly recommend this product!!

first off, i had been biting my nails for 3-4 years. I was 15 and i hated my fingers. I have tried everything to try and stop but it wouldn't work. When i ordered this i thought it would be a waste of my money because i have tried something similar before. Although the stuff i tried before was very thick and almost fun to bite off, i was pretty sure that this would be the same. I got it 5 days later and put it on. First i wanted to see what it tasted like so it wouldn't be such a surprise when i first bit my nails. I tasted it and it was disgusting. It stays on for atleast a week and will definetly help you stop biting. There isn't any odor so it doesn't smell bad either. I haven't bit my nails in over a month. This is amazing.

My 5 year old daughter has sucked her 2 middle fingers since she was 2 months old. We tried a product called THUM as well as diluted tabasco. We tried band-aids, gauze tape as well as positive reinforcement. She wanted to stop but just couldn't. This product has been so wonderful. I tried it on my own finger and it does taste awful but that is what was necessary to stop this habit. Her baby teeth are a little flared from all the sucking; her 2 fingers looked terrible and she was always getting colds and viruses. Our dentist suggested a hand guard but it cost almost $100. With her baby teeth falling out and permanent teeth coming in, we were desperate to help her break this habit. We put it on as she sleeps each night. It doesn't wash off with handwashing so a once-a-day application is all that is needed. This is key- it doesn't wash off easily so it is long lasting throughout the day. She hasn't sucked her fingers in almost 3 weeks now. She is so proud of herself. I recommend this whole heartedly. I honestly thought we were never going to get this habit under control and in a short time it has stopped altogether!
Review: Amazing! Only took one application. Beauty product: 5 Stars
My daughter is 4 1/2 and has been sucking her thumb and index fingers including their knuckles since she was 3 months old. She did so mostly when she was trying to relax, ie. at night, watching television, in the car. And, because she had such a large area of her hand in her mouth, it caused some serious pallette issues. When asked if she was ready to stop sucking her fingers, she would reply in the negative, so I didn't think she was ready for the product... Well, I was wrong.
I did feel a bit guilty the evening I put it on her two fingers and then throughout the night as I heard little wimpers from her bedroom. However, she completely stopped sucking her fingers in one day. She remembered the horrible taste and said she was done. It has been two months now, and she really is cured. Amazing. My husband and I still can't believe that she no longer sucks her fingers. We just wish we would have found this product sooner.
Thank you, Amazon and Mavala! I am recommending this product to all of my personal friends, too.
Review: product: 5 Stars
I have a five year old who has sucked his thumb since infancy. I have tried everything, positive reinforcement and rewards, hugs and one over the counter pharmacy product (containing cayenne pepper which he enjoyed) but to no avail. I read about the product reviews and could not believe the reponses, it sounded far too easy. Well, the thumb sucking habit ended in just ONE DAY! This product is a nail polish type which is brushed on once a day and has a bitter, unpleasant taste but not harmful. I tried it on myself first to make sure. I continued to use Mavala Stop on him for one week just in case there was a relapse. At the end of the week, I used nail polish remover and soap and water to remove the residue, so there would be no more bitter taste. He has not sucked his thumb since. Effective results!
