I have used many types & sizes of pill splitter/crushers. I can't recall WHERE I got this one, but I would not work without it. I have a titanium plate in my right forearm, am blind in one eye (both my dominant side)and this type splitter/crusher is a WIN/WIN to use! I've even turned the car around and gone home to get it when I was on the way to work and forgot it.
It's sturdy (I've dropped it on the hard ER floor many times), the razor stays sharp for a long time, and it can split any shape or size of pill. It's large enough to get a decent grip on with my weaker right hand, but I can still keep it in my scrub top or pants pocket (so it doesn't disappear).
I've ordered one for my Mom & Dad in another state and 3 more for me in case they discontinue it for some sad reason (I hope not, but everything I love gets discontinued).
I suggest you buy 2 as right now they are not avail on here and I'll have to find one, but they are the absolute BEST...CRUSHER on the other end is fabulous, too.
