my child has type 4A-4B hair and this product does not harm her hair. But, this is the reason for three stars, it is sticky and does not detangle. I really wanted to love this product because I want to find the stuff that works and !stick to it! No more searching, you know what I mean. I loved Carol's Daughter leave-in conditioner, but they changed the look of their bottle which I just can't get passed.I really like Mixed Chicks professional look just wish it worked more to my liking. We use Mixed Chicks shampoo and it is very nice. It does not dry out her hair at all. Review: blob mess

This is the worse leave-in conditioner I have ever used. I have long curly hair which frizzes and this product just left it a mess. Too little is not enough and too much just leave clumps of your hair weighted down. Review: happy chick

I happened on this conditioner in a small boutique mostly selling beauty products for African Americans.
I am white but I have very uncooperative hair....and most conditioners do nothing, and leave-in conditioners harden my hair or dry and flake off. You use only a nickel to quarter size amount of this stuff on wet hair and it spreads very easily and dries naturally. There is no frizz and the curls look smoothe and happy. Buying the large dispenser at Amazon is the way to go....this stuff was much more expensive and only came in a small bottle at the boutique. I recommend this product whole-heartedly.
