Review: Everything was going GREAT! and then...

I did a bit of research before buying this protector. This is my first "smartphone", so I've never had the luxury of feeling my phone "needed protection". From what I've read, people have had problems getting the screen protectors to stick with a dust-free, bubble-free application... so rather than going with the ZAGG protectors and spending $15+ dollars on my first try, I figured I'd go with this to see if it was really as difficult as everyone was saying. I opened the package today and began my challenge. Item came with a cleaning cloth and cardboard "bubble smoother". I cleaned my phone, peeled the back of the protector and started applying. After completion there were 4 air pockets, but after about 10 seconds of maneuvering with the cardboard, they were gone. Perfect application! The only thing I had to do now was remove the little sticker tag from the front of the protector that says "remove after applied". I tried... it's stuck. the paper peels off and leaves the sticker side attached to my phone. It served absolutely NO purpose whatsoever except to tell me to remove it when I was done... I wet a cloth and tried rubbing it off. The torn paper was removed, but there is still a sticky residue which will catch lint and hair and dust over time. So, needless to say... the $3 was worth the learning experience, and if it weren't for that one sticker I would be very pleased... but I just ordered some ZAGG protectors. We'll see how it goes :)
