Review: Two attempts and no results

I purchased this product on two separate occasions and had no success with either one.
The first time was about 6 years after my daughter was born. The website (at the time) said the creme works best on stretchmarks 12 years or newer. I bought the creme which was at that time around $30 for a 6oz bottle. I applied it everyday and followed the advice to let it sit on the top of my skin and absorb rather than rubbing it in. I saw no improvement whatsoever in my stretch marks but it did make the skin very soft.
The second time was some years later, my daughter was 10 at this time, so 4 years later. I tried it again because I thought maybe I did not take the product long enough, plus I read about some other techniques for removing stretch marks and wanted to try the creme with the new techniques. This time I bought two of the 8oz size tubes because there was a buy 1 get one free sale. At this time the creme was an eye popping $69 per tube! For my regimen this time, I exfoliated the skin over my stretchmarks in the shower before putting the creme on. I put the creme on right after I got out of the shower to help absorption. I even mixed the creme with a little bit of vitamin e oil. They must have changed the recipe in the years I stopped using it because the creme was more watery and less creamy than the first time I ordered it.
This time to make sure I could see my progress I took photos of my stretchmarks and updated them every week on Sunday. I went through both bottles of creme in about 3 months time and really saw very little results. So little that I'm not even sure if it is placebo effect, but I will say it is not because even if the creme didn't work it's hard to believe the exfoliating and vitamin E oil would not have done anything. I was very disappointed and unfortunately I cannot give this product a good review. If I saw any results I am inclined to believe it was from the exfoliating and E oil.
I don't know if it's because my stretch marks are very deep or their age or my complexion but this product did nothing for me at all. I posted this detailed review to give each reader a good idea of what I did with this product, as I understand most products don't work for people because they did not follow the directions properly. I followed them to a T - plus some.
Please do not give my review an unhelpful rating simply because this is not the positive review you were hoping to find to convince you to buy this product, I am just trying to help people out there by keeping them informed. The product could work for you or not, but this is just my experience.
