I'm African American with combination skin and little breakouts, but little is enough. When I first tried this system it was several years ago and my acne got worst, not to mention it dried my skin. Well fast forward, I've decided to try it again. This time I only use the cleanser at night followed by palmers skin therapy oil as my nightly moisturizer. In the morning, I use only water (no cleansers), the murad toner, and murad lotion moisturizer. My skin started to look better in one week. I think the less I use the less this product would dry my skin and cause more breakouts. The system requires twice a day use, but if your skin starts to feel tight or dry and more breakouts surface, I recommend using it once a day and use the other products sparingly. I gave it a four because I can't use it twice a day and if I do I will have negative effects. The products do work well together, just have to use it in a way that will work for you.
