Product reviews of Nad's Body Wax Strips, 24 ct. Review: I found this product to work much better than.... Beauty product: 3 Stars
I found this product to work much better than Sally Hansen's hair removal strips. The smell (Nads) was not pleasant and you may need to go over an area more than once. It seemed to help if I left the strips on a little longer, then followed the directions regarding pressing it on in the direction of the hair growth and removing it in the opposite direction. This in addition to making sure the hair was not too long seemed to make a lot of difference. I am new to waxing and tried Parissa first. It's a good product but am not sure the extra price is necessary. It is nice to have clean underarms for MUCH longer than shaving and the thinning that occurs is also a plus. My underarms grow back much sparser and believe it or not in some areas blonde too! Tweezing any stubborn hair is the last step (I'm aware that is common at the salon too) before using the post wipes that remove all of the wax easily. Not sure if the pre wipes are that "desensitizing" but seems to clean the area before starting. Worth a try in my opinion. Hurts less with each use. Good luck.
Review: Love it! Beauty product: 5 Stars
Nad's hair removal strips are easy to use anywhere anytime and you stay smooth and hair free for weeks.
They're also economical. I'm a regular user. Love it!
Review: Takes a lot of strips to remove hair completely Beauty product: 2 Stars
I was excited at first because there were a lot of strips to use, so I thought I could use a lot. Turns out it takes several strips to get the hair off completely. Plus, there aren't enough pre-moistening "de-sensitizing" wipes, in my opinion. There's a slight burn and sting which I experienced, and my skin turned red afterwards, even after applying the post-removal pads. The redness remained for a day or so. I probably wouldn't use this product again.
Review: Works well, wouldn't use anything else Beauty product: 5 Stars
As to previous reviews, uh duh, yeh, it hurts. What woman's regime doesn't hurt? But the minor pain is oh so worth it. What takes 30 minutes to do with repeated waxings, is done in two minutes with two quick pulls on each side of the lip. I also totally do agree with the one reviewer, what insane revelation led to a not equivalent amount of desensitizer with the strips? Make it in a gel form or something NADS. Other than that, this 38 year old would DIE without these. Coarse ugly non-feminine stache hair is GONE. Note to youngins.... my niece tried these with me (16 yr. old), not only did they hurt terribly, her face broke out in pimples/sores for a week afterwards. Perhaps these are only for the 30+ crowd.
As for the Chemical Burn lady.....I suspect she has been reading one too many spam emails, check your snopes.com before making hysterical claims in cyber space lady.
Product works great, hurts a little, but not any more than other products out there and within an hour of being done, all tell tale signs of having "waxed" my stache were gone. Perfect for me and long term too. Hair took much longer to grow back than with other products! Great Job.
