Review: Better, but not great

I purchased this product because the last time I used L'Oreal Hair color, it burned my scalp. It began to weep all over for about a week. My hair was crusty all the time from the liquid that seeped from my scalp. YUK!
So, I purchased this product hoping that it would not have the same unfortunate result. Honestly, I was too impatient to do the allergy test. So, I have only myself to blame. While the Naturtint dye did not burn my entire scalp, as did the L'Oreal, I did have a few spots on my temples that were 'weepy.' This condition began about 24 hours after the treatment and lasted about 4 days.
So, the final result was not nearly as severe as with hair colorings that contain peroxide. But, for me, there was still some negative reaction.
The Naturtint left my hair feeling very coarse. The supplied conditioner helped the situation, but not nearly as well as the conditioner that came with the L'Oreal coloring kit. After about 6 weeks, my hair was finally much softer - as it was before the Naturtint.
The color itself was quite permanent, however. With respect to that, I was happy with the results.
