I had been suffering from an increasing degree of dandruff for two years. I tried the Head & Shoulders and Selsun Blue and, if anything, it made it itch even worse. I tried ignoring it; like THAT worked... Soon my entire head had dandruff (it had started on my scalp behind my ears) and I couldn't wear anything dark anymore. I would have a SHOWER of flakes with just a couple digs with my fingernails. Finally I said ENOUGH - I've got to do something. So I did some research and found Neutrogena T/Gel. Why not? I said. It's expensive, but man is it worth it! It actually hurt my head applying it at first because I had dug my scalp so much I had open sores. But I persevered and used it every day for 3 weeks. At that point, the smell was really getting to my boyfriend and I slacked off to 3 times a week for another 2 weeks, and then finally stopped using it at all. So, in 5 weeks, my dandruff was GONE. Two years of hell had disappeared in 5 weeks. If you have stubborn dandruff that just WILL NOT GO AWAY, give this a try. It's worth the money and definitely worth the smell - you won't have to use it long. I've gone back to a regular store shampoo for the last 2 months and have not had a single dandruff itch or flake.

There are three varying scalp conditions related to hyperkeratosis (dandruff formation) that T/Gel works for::
