Review: Wish there was a zero star option

I bought this sunscreen thinking I was gettting a really good product. Boy, was I ever wrong. We went swimming for 2 hours today. We applied the sunscreen 30 mins. before getting wet. I applied it liberally a nice thick coating. As we were leaving the pool I noticed my one son looked red all over his exposed skin. I thought okay, maybe he is just flushed from the heat. By the time we get home, I start feeling my shoulders and arms burning. My other son says Mom my skin is burning like it is on fire. Great! So out comes the Aloe for everyone! We literally look and feel like cooked lobsters. We are wearing our clothes inside out because the seams hurt. In the past I have bought a much cheaper sunscreen with a lot better results. With the cheaper sunscreen we have been swimming for an entire day without reapplying and didn't even get pink. The Neutrogenia sunscreen looks like we didn't use any protection. We are not fair skinned either. I trusted the Neutrogena name by mistake. I wanted to get a really good sunscreen because I have fears of getting skin cancer and want to protect my children. I will contact the company. I would like my money refunded. Maybe this product needs recalled. I am very disappointed. Review: very protective but not easy to wash off

I got this sunblock three weeks ago and used it when I was on the beach. It greatly protected me from the sun so I did not get too much burn. However, it's not easy to wash off this and because my skin is too sensentive, each time after use it, I my skin would itch for a while... But overall, this product is great for it's function! This sunscreen left me and my family with bad sunburns even after reapplying. My daughter even has a scar on her face from the sunburn. You would think with 85 uva and uvb protection it would have worked better. Went on smooth and not greasy but little to no protection. I love Neutrogena products but this one is not worth the money or the pain of a sunburn.
