Review: A very nice cleanser if you're looking for an exfoliator

I have become a huge fan of the Pro-X line, because since I have been using it, my adult acne has completely cleared up and my developing crows feet have receded. Yippee! This is probably my least favorite Pro-X product I have used so far -- I like it, but probably not enough to buy it again since I like the Olay Professional Pro-X Restorative Cream Cleanser, 5 Ounce better.

The cleanser has a nice, gel-like texture. For an exfoliating cleanser, it's pretty gentle, but not quite gentle enough for me. The grains in it are very fine, but it still feels like sand on my sensitive skin. I know other reviews have said that it doesn't feel rough at all, so this is surely a matter of personal preference. The only other exfoliating cleanser I have ever used regularly was Biore Pore Perfect Pore Unclogging Scrub , 5 oz (141 g), and it contained larger beads that were actually less irritating for me; they rolled over my skin instead of feeling microscopically rough. The grains in this Pro-X exfoliating cleanser really feel abrasive on my skin, in spite of being small.

On the plus side, it does a good job of cleaning -- it gets all my makeup off, including eye makeup (I usually wear mascara and eyeshadow and sometimes liner, and I don't have to use a separate eye makeup remover with this cleanser).

Overall, I think this product is a nice exfoliator, but I personally prefer the non-exfoliating Pro-X cleanser. However, if you're looking for a good scrub, this one might be for you!
