I'm the perfect candidate for this product ... mid-40s, some sun damage, showing deeper wrinkles across my forehead, crow's feet around my eyes, and occasional pimples (cysts, actually) ... overall, skin was in just OK shape, not good but not bad either. So when I had an opportunity to try the product for a month, I thought "why not?". I jumped on the chance, and I have been using the kit since. Religiously. I use it twice a day. Wrinkle treatment & repair lotion in the morning. Wrinkle treatment & wrinkle cream in the evening. Initially I had mixed reviews about the individual components of the kit, but to be fair, I continued using the kit to see if there would be any change. And, there was!
After a month, I saw a tremendous improvement in my skin. It was softer, firmer, clearer, smoother, more even, more radiant, more hydrated, more everything! The deeper lines across my brow lessened. The fine lines around my eyes -- what fine lines? And even more surprising, I did not have a single pimple (cyst) develop. I'm even started wearing less make-up because my skin looked so good.
I like the results. Alot! So much so that I already pre-ordered a kit from Amazon at the current price, which beats Wally-World's price, although I was ot even 1/2 done with this one.
So, here's the kicker. Out of the blue, my dear husband says to me about 4 weeks after use, "You look younger. What did you do?". Ah, just what I was looking for. Independent confirmation of results. Yup, that's the kicker. There's no doubt that this stuff works! Even DH noticed.
Just a comment on reports of stinging & burning. Early on I too had some irritation on my face & stinging around the eyes, just as others have reported here. However, I stopped using my retinol eye creams and glycolic washes. The irritation went away. I started using other products again (including a self-tanner), and the irritation came back. The irritation would come and go for a few days after I eliminated the product but eventually it went away. I guess combining with other products is a no-no, at least for now, but I don't recall reading anything about that in the kit. Currently I'm using a mild cleanser and no other products on my face & neck, other than the Pro-X Protocol twice a day. If you have irritation or sensitive skin, you might try using only the Olay Pro-X line -- they are formulated to work together. Put your other products aside if they aren't working because this kit does work!
I have been surprised by the number of less-than-satisfactory reviews, and certainly this product isn't for everyone. However, there is no risk in trying it. Olay makes a "Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back" promise on the Pro-X line. For details, call 1-866-511-OLAY (6529).
