This nail clipper took me a while to get the cuts to be nice and straight. You have to have it perfectly aligned and hold the clipper perfectly for a good cut. If you know how to use them then you should be okay, but I wouldn't recommend anyone who doesn't know what they are doing to buy stuff to do their own acrylic nails. That's what I am doing and its wayyy harder than I expected to be even though I always watch what they do at the nail place when I get my nails done. It also takes a long time when you first start doing your own. I am still slower than the nail place, but hey, its cheaper for me in the long shot. Its also more convienient because if I break one nail I don't have to go all the way back and pay to get it fixed.
