I love this oil!! I am african american woman with coarse hair in a transitioning stage of 5 months. Even with a relaxer my hair was always very tangled when wet. Now that I have been relaxer free for 5 months, it is extremely difficult to get the comb through my wet hair...until I tried this product...along with good shampoo/conditioner. It leaves my hair soft and very manageable. I start by shampooing and conditioning (still searching for the perfect shampoo & conditioner). Prior to blowdrying my hair, I apply a small amount of the Argan Oil to my hair along with a spray serum to protect my hair from the heat...I use Silk Elements Megasilk Heat Protection Spray. After my hair is dry I apply another small amount of Argan Oil to my hair and section my hair to begin the flat iron process. I also use the Silk Elements when flat ironing my hair again, to protect from the heat being applied. The result is shiny, not greasy, manageable, silky hair. You cannot tell where my new growth ends and my relaxer begins and I believe it's because of the Argan Oil. My dual hair textures blends in lovely. I also may use a small amount of Argan Oil every other day as it gives it a slight sheen, nice aroma and makes my hair soft.
I've read other reviewers comments on the oil weighing the hair down. This does not happen to me. I'm not sure if it's because of the thickness of my hair or perhaps you may want to try using slightly less oil, especially if you have thin hair. My hair is slightly below my shoulders and I section my hair into 2 parts and use a dime sized amount on each section. A little goes a long way.
