This product is a base, meant to be worn under makeup to protect skin from pollutants and other environmental hazards. I've found that in addition to any protective benefits, this base has some fantastic cosmetic benefits as well. A bit rubbed into my skin made the texture soft and velvety, and left it perfectly primed for makeup. Though this is not meant to be a moisturizer, I have found it to be slightly moisturizing, and I don't use an additional moisturizer with it. This may not be enough for those with drier skin, but for me it's fine. I'm pleased with this product- it's a pleasure to use.
