I saw this product on Oprah and had to have it. I love it. I have grey around my temples only so it is great for between trips to the salon. I bought the dark brown. I use it each time I wash my hair and it stays on until my next washing. I read the the other reveiws and some of what they say is true. It doesn't dry Completly if you wipe your hand over it or rub a towel over it the color will come off. I've never had even a smear on my white pillowcase since I've been using it, or my winter hats or anything. It does come out in a lump at first but I press the brush between a tissue before using. The directions tell you to lift the hair and apply to the hair and not the scalp. This works very well for me. I tried the lipstick type product and found it like a thick waxy stuff. Imagine using a crayon to color your grey hair with. The mascara like stuff was a mess to use that brush, think using mascara to color your greay hair with. This tube has lasted me for three months using once each time I washed my hair (about 3-4 times a week)and is still going. I am buying another one for whenever the first runs out. I will keep this on hadn always! Review: Not good, wasted of $

I bought this from Sephora and it sucks. The darkest color is not good for dark hair and doesn't cover gray at all. Review: Not worth the money

This product is horrible and way too expensive. I have done my own highlights many times, but the brush is totally wrong for the application, the dye is too thick to manage properly, takes too long to apply, and it doesn't dry properly. If I could return it, I would. Don't waste your time or money. Review: Ok but not great

I was excited to see this product. The hair around my temples seems to be gray all the time. I have used it a couple times, and it does cover the gray, but it does not dry. I put on a light coat and give it time to dry. But that does not happen. During the day at work I occasionally rest my hand on my head. It's great when it comes back with a big brown spot on it. They should have made this water proof too. I was out in the rain and had it running all down the sides of my head. Review: Terrific touch up

This is a great product for touching up roots between colorings.
I purchased this pen a few weeks ago and have used it a number of times. Initially I had a bit of difficulty getting the proper amount of product on my hair. It is imperative that after you twist the pen to release the product you blot the tip of the pen. Otherwise you end up with a huge blob of goo on your scalp and hair. The blob stains your scalp and makes your hair sticky. After you blot the tip of the pen, brush the pen through your hair, starting higher up from the scalp initially and then getting closer as the product is worked through. A light touch is all that is needed, too much product will make the hair stiff. If you do apply too much, simply use a comb or a brush and work it through the hair. (This works with a moderate amount of "too much", otherwise you will most likely have to shampoo the product out.) The color will last until your next shampooing.
I have not used the pen for highlighting but it is a great alternative to the "every two week dye job".
