Review: Better than other dry shampoos
Beauty product: 5 Stars

I have very oily skin which means I can wash my hair in the morning and have limp hair by oily weight by evening. So, it's perfect to refresh my look after classes/work.

Yet, it's good for it's smell, too.I have tried other dry shampoos (specifically a spray dry shampoo Bastile I think it's called). The other shampoo didn't have the citrus scent that Oscar has. The citrus scent isn't just nice because it smells good, but also because when I wait a day or 2 between hair washings, my hair will start to smell odd. It's not really bad, but it doesn't smell "clean." The citrus scent eliminates this immediately, unlike the scent from Bastile.

However, I do suggest: I have darker hair, so sometimes I have to do a good once over to make sure you can't see the white powder anywhere. Next time I may try to upgrade to a brand that is colored.

Review: Brunettes Beware
Beauty product: 2 Stars

I really liked the scent of this product but based on the other reviews I've read, either you love it or hate it. I have really thick, wavy dark brown hair. I used it twice and both times someone commented on the white flakes in my hair (embarrassing!) It didn't really work for my hair either but it may be because I have such thick hair. But I won't be using this product again.

Review: Do not apply directly to your scalp!!
Beauty product: 5 Stars

I've read the majority of the not-so-great reviews and I've seen a lot of complaints about the powder leaving white residue. If used properly, this dry shampoo is a dream! My friend brought this on a weekend stay and raved about it, so I thought I'd give it a try. My hair was TWO days old, and seriously needed a wash. My hair is fine, dark brown, and medium-long (it falls about a half-inch above my back bra strap). It is a bit oily after 24hrs of washing and needless to say, pretty gross after 48hrs.
My friend has thick hair and thinks mine is also thick (thanks to a little product). She advised me not to be afraid to use a lot, so I guess she uses a good amount, however I only needed a little bit. When applying, DO NOT APPLY TO YOUR SCALP! I did brush my hair BEFORE using Oscar Blandi, it might have helped. "Squirt" a little in your palm or fingers, dust your fingertips in the powder, then lightly rub/shake your roots while pulling the powder through your hair - make sure you spread it out, and do not apply to the same spot over and over. Dry Shampoo obviously does not spread and lather like regular shampoo. If you need more, repeat those steps until your hair looks clean again. Just use a little bit at a time - there's no use in loading up at once b/c it's nearly impossible to dilute the amount of product you put in your hair (this is pretty much a universal rule).

I read a lot of complaints about the smell, but I didn't notice anything and I'm pregnant with superhuman senses. I got a lot a compliments on my hair that day! My husband was shocked at how fast I got ready and my hair wasn't just tossed in a ponytail. It looked like I just washed and blow dried my hair - in a matter of 5 minutes. Can't beat that!!

Review: Dry shampoo ok.
Beauty product: 4 Stars

I read a lot of reviews on lots of products before buying this dry shampoo. It does soak up the oil leaving your hair looking fresh. As to all the complaints about the white powder residue....well there can be a residue if you don't flip your hair over and really rub it in with your finger tips, but it only takes two seconds to do that. I have thin, fine blonde hair. I imagine a brunette would be fine using this, but maybe not someone with black hair. As to the scent, it is a bit strong, but I happen to like lemon and it's not a bad scent. You certainly won't offend anyone. I read a lot of reviews raving about the added volume it gives your hair - well, I didnt notice that it added any volume. Maybe I didn't use enough. The volume would have been an added benefit, anyway. Overall good product, but I'm not married to it. I would easily switch brands if I found something cheaper.

Review: Excellent
Beauty product: 5 Stars

Great product, I may never wash my hair again! (ok, I will)
I am blonde so I can get away with putting baby powder in my hair, but this stuff is sooo much better! It honestly looks better than if I washed my hair. I have fine hair so adding this actually gave my hair volume and completely disapears no trace of white (unlike baby powder). The only thing I question are the ingredients there is aluminium in this I am not sure how safe using it every other day is?
