Review: Best electric shave for the money

As a long-time Panasonic wet/dry shaver user, I've owned both the high end and low end shavers, including the Procurve, and found that the closeness of the shave is equal for both. The pricier razors need charging every week and the cheaper razors are smaller, quieter and lighter and run for several weeks between charges. However, the pricier razors are also sealed against water intrusion much better and last for 5 or 6 years, the less expensive ones start failing due to leakage in a year or two. (But at the price, who cares?)
In order to get a close shave with these babies, the secret is to shave in the shower when the skin pores are open. That's why the Panasonic electric razors are in a class by themselves. When wet, they shave at least as close as a razor without the risk of cuts. (When dry, their closeness is no better than any other brand.)
The money I didn't spend on a high priced model provided me a good excuse to also invest in a very nice NiMh one hour battery charger and enough high capacity NiMh 2700 maH batteries (thomas-distributing.com)to end my dependance on disposable AA alkaline batteries forever.
The razor does run a tad slower on the 1.2 volt NiMh batteries than the 1.5 volt alkalines, but still works just fine. A great little razor at a ridiculously low price. When will other razor companies get the message?
