My family tends to get calluses so hard that they start to peel off in spikes or scales; the odd thing is that the useful part of the calluses (on the bottom of the feet) is fine; these are on the sides of the foot where they wouldn't even do any good when running around barefoot.

The Ped Egg got rid of these quickly and painlessly, and my feet are no longer a danger to my socks or my loved ones. I'd been using a pumice stone regularly, but it was insufficient to the task.

I bought the version with the handle, which is very easy to hold and use.
