Review: A Good "Egg:
Beauty product: 5 Stars

Like others, I have tried many things to try to keep my feet smooth. I saw this on t.v. and figured it wouldn't work as shown. After I used it the first time, I loved how soft & smooth my feet were. When I first started pushing it across the bottom of my heal it became very rough and I thought "Oh great...whata mess". I just kept working at it and it slowly became almost totally smooth. I used the buffing sandpaper included to finish them off. Then I put Gold Bond cream on with a pair of socks and it's just been amazing. I run around all summer in sandels and work hard in the outdoors and dirt gets ground into my feet. 2 Thumbs Up!

Review: A cheese grater for your feet
Beauty product: 1 Stars

This honestly is one of the worst products I've ever used. It really only works if you apply a lot of pressure, making it an exhausting process. Save your money, mine went into the trash.

Review: A cheese grater would work better!
Beauty product: 2 Stars

I excitedly purchased my Ped Egg at Walmart after my friend raved about it. To my surprise it was not at all what I expected.

Cons: It's nothing more than a very dull cheese grater in a strangely shaped container. Ergonomic? No, I get a cramp in my hand from holding it.

The shavings fall out of the opening of the grater, so you will still need to put down a towel on your floor.

If you have extremely dry feet, you should not use this as it will tear the skin and you WILL bleed.

Using it on moderately dry feet is okay, but it really doesn't do very much in removing dry skin. I find that the included sandpaper does more work for me, much like the sandpaper foot files you can buy for a dollar!

Overall, I wish I wouldn't have wasted my money on this Ped Egg.

Review: A dull cheese grater.

I already own a Tweezerman for callus removal. It works pretty well (the blade does, not so much the rasp), but wanted to try the PedEgg and see if it worked better.

It doesn't.

I was expecting the cutter to be like the microplane grater/zesters that are so useful in kitchens for grinding fresh ginger, something that's extremely sharp and removes a whole lot of very, very small pieces. Instead the PedEgg's cutter is more like a dull, coarse cheese grater.

The claim is that it "gently removes calluses and dead skin." Nope, didn't work for me. The cutter creates a LOT of drag, pulling hard on my calluses, and not cutting very well at all, just a smidge of material removal (regardless of whether my skin was dry or just-finished-showering-wet). I can see where it might give the impression of smoothing out rough, cracked skin, but this would only be because it tears the surface up to where it's all evenly roughed up. If you're trying to actually remove material and leave behind a smooth surface - all without dragging painfully on your skin - this is not the right tool for the job.

Review: A life saver!

I had the nastiest callouses ever, with cracks and embedded dirt and everything. I scrubbed forever using a pumice stone thinking they would never go away. Then I got this, and in minuted my feet were callous-free. It didn't hurt either, and I didn't have to soak my feet to do it. I have used it several times and it hasn't gotten dull.
