Product reviews of Ped Egg Pedicure Foot File, Colors may vary Review: Absolutely A Great Product- Blown Away!!!! Beauty product: 5 Stars
I have had trouble with calloused heels since I turned 40. Used the Ped Egg just like instructed and no lie......my heels felt as smooth to the touch as they did when I was a spring chicken!!! I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to find a product that does exactly what it says it will do. Money more than well spent.
Review: Absolutely GREAT Beauty product: 5 Stars
I was a bit skeptical at first but since creams weren't working at ALL on my heels ...I did try this. And it really works...but works so good you must not overdue it. I will recommend it to all my friends.
Review: Absolutely wonderful Beauty product: 4 Stars
I am not one to take the time to pamper myself at a spa so having this at home to do in my spare time is nice. Works just as they described, very easy. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because the shavings do not always get caught in the egg, they do make a mess on the floor - regardless of how you hold it. But overall a nice product.
Review: Already Smoother... Beauty product: 4 Stars
Despite the poorer quality PedEgg I received, it still works. I think people with rough, dried out, cracked feet should use this before trying any creams or even anything that exfoliates. I explained to my friend, who also has dried out heels, that in order for the creams to work effectively, the top dried out layer of skin has to be removed. If it is not removed, then the creams just sit on the top layer of dead skin. And that's not of any help. Something like this or a pumice stone is the best bet. Then you can start to apply creams and lotions to soften and help keep the skin on your feet soft.
I've only used this for about 5 minutes on each foot, and I'll continue to work on them on a daily basis. But already, my feet are smoother around my heels. Once I feel enough dead skin has come off, I'll use the cream I have to exfoliate, and then I'll purchase an Aloe Vera foot cream.
Review: Always cynical about seen-on-TV stuff, but.... Beauty product: 4 Stars
I bought the Ped Egg in the grocery store on a whim. I have very rough, dry feet. I thought I'd give it a try since it wasn't too expensive. I think it works as advertised for the most part. The shape makes it easy to hold and use. The file seems sharper than the Dr. Scholls file I had been using which makes for a quicker job.
My only criticism is that it does not collect the shavings as the TV commercial says. They pass right through the file as you use it. You'd have to be upside-down for the shavings to stay inside.
For the reviewers who said their feet are rougher, I understand what they mean, but I wonder if they used the emery pads after using the file. It's just like using progressively finer grades of sandpaper when working with wood. The file takes off the bulk of my callouses and the emery pad smooths it out.
All and all, I'm pretty happy with it.
