Review: No nonsense skin care

I adore the whole Philosophy skincare line. I use this once in the morning & once at night. I notice a difference when I stop using it. My skin gets duller, as well as breakouts on my chin and t-zone. It brightens and evens out my skin in combination with the Hope in a Jar & Tube creams. I don't have any major skin problems though, so if you have major break-outs or dry skin areas I don't know how this would work for you. I would try it though, I think it's great. I was looking for a new face wash, so I tried Purity and IT WAS AWFUL. I am 22 years old and have never had acne and this face wash caused me to break out--perhaps because it didn't feel like it was cleaning my face all the way since it leaves mascara behind. I used it for two weeks to give it a chance but started noticing little red dots all over my T-zone, chin and forehead around the second week and THREW IT AWAY! Don't waste your money! I love the foaming cleanser but always have problems with it leaking when i travel so I saw this one with the poptop aand thought it might travel better and this is purity for normal to oily so i expected it to be fairly comparable. Not nearly as good as the foaming purity. Within a week, I started to have skin issues because it wasn't cleaning well. Could not stand the smell.
Oh well.... lessons learned. I love the philosophy products overall. Just will pass and go back to the other purity cleanser.

If samples or travel sizes of a product are available I will buy them to test the product out. I had just used up my Cosmedicine foaming facial cleanser and was satisfied but wanted to try something new. The lady at Sephora mentioned Purity was very poupular and suggested I try it. A little bottle is $10.00. At first I hated the product but continued using it cause I had nothing else. Purity smells bad, it has a strong spicy smell that reminds me of black pepper. The cleanser does not wash away make-up but thats what make-up remover is for. It is gentle on my skin but I would prefer a better cleaner.I wouldn't buy it again but I will finish using the product.
