Product reviews of Pink Sugar FOR WOMEN by Aquolina - 3.4 oz EDT Spray (Tester) Review: Smells burnt Beauty product: 2 StarsI don't care for the smell of this at all. I was hoping to find something comparable to Hypnotic Poison. This isn't it.
Review: Smells great but not a good deodorant Beauty product: 3 StarsSo I DO know the difference between anti-antiperspirant and deodorant but I have also used some great deodorants that work perfectly in hot humid weather... this is not one of those. While the scent is great when you first spray it on, on a hot day, it does not mix well with regular person perspiration smell, and it's not like I'm a really sweaty and smelly, for the record.
Review: Surprising and yummy. Beauty product: 5 StarsWhen I first heard of Pink Sugar, I was skeptical. Many reviews said it smelled just like cotton candy, and I wasn't sure I would like that. However, we all know that fragrances smell different on everyone, so I always like to try things myself before I judge them. After wondering about it for a while, I got a chance to sample it a couple of weeks ago. When I smelled it in the bottle and on a sample paper, I wasn't that impressed and thought it was just okay. Once I put it on my skin, however, my opinion changed greatly for the better.
For me, it does not smell exactly like cotton candy. The cotton candy is there, sure...but there's so much more to it. There's a bit of warm vanilla, there's a hint of berry, and there's a nice soft base of slightly powdery musk. I've seen in reviews that some people think it smells like strawberry candy - I didn't get that AT ALL. I can detect a tiny hint of berry in there, but to me it smells nothing like strawberry candy. It does not smell "kiddie" or "too young" to me. It is definitely a very feminine scent, but it's also sexy and sophisticated.
It smells yummy, but it doesn't make you smell exactly like food. The funny thing about Pink Sugar is that it's hard to put a finger on exactly what it smells like. Everyone seems to have their own opinion on what it smells like - I've heard cookies, cake, frosting, vanilla, and sweet musk. For me, it doesn't smell just like any of these things, but rather is its very own scent. With my body chemistry, the musk base becomes more pronounced. It smells like a good quality fragrance, not a cheap sugary body spray. It's not overwhelming, but it lasts. I put on one spray in the morning, and I can still smell it on myself at bedtime. I also love to spray it on my pillows, it's a very comforting fragrance for me.
I think Pink Sugar might be my new signature scent. I have a hard time finding fragrances I really like on myself - I hate most florals, super fruity scents tend to smell wrong on me, and most oriental type scents tend to be a bit too "old" and intense. Pink Sugar is great - not too old, not too young, not too heavy, not too light. It's definitely one I would recommend trying for yourself - you might be pleasantly surprised by it, like I was! I bought the 3.4 oz bottle, and I intend to pick up the lotions and bath products next.
Review: It makes you smell like vanilla sugar. Beauty product: 5 StarsWhich is a very good thing as far as I am concerned.
This is one of my favorite perfumes! I ordered it after reading some online reviews, (and this time, I actually put some effort into trying to find it locally.) There was no place in town that carried it, and I was told I'd probably have to drive at least 2 hours to get it... so I ordered in on Amazon. It was a very good price, the shipping was reasonable, and I got it very fast.
The packaging is not super extraordinary, but I don't really 'buy the perfume for the bottle'.
The scent is amazing, there is really nothing else out there quite like it. It is like pure concentrated SUGAR. It really doesn't get any sweeter than this, and yet, it is not overpowering, and it lasts for hours and hours.
My husband does not like many perfumes, but this one he does. He says it makes me smell like cotton candy. :)
Review: I would never wear another Scent Beauty product: 5 StarsI have been wearing Pink Sugar since 2003 when it first arrived at my local Nordstrom. When I walked by and saw the bottle, I knew I had to try it. One spray and I bought it. I have been wearing it ever since. My Husband loves it and so does anyone else who smells me. People say I smell tasty. LOL I would recommended this to anyone who doesn't really like the smell of most perfumes, or their husband doesn't, and is really looking for a light, sweet, pleasant scent!
P.S. After I had my son people always said perfumes bother babies, and I would agree with most, but this did not bother him at all. I just sprayed my hair or legs with it.
