This product is the best spot treatment product I have tried. My son has had issues with random breakouts and this, as is advertised... when you dab on spot at night - in the morning its either gone or noticably improved. They sell this product at our local mall but you could not buy as a separate item and had to purchase entire kit. Was happy to see it is now sold separately! I've used this mask for years. When I was younger (teens and early twenties) I had oily acne prone skin and used the entire Proactiv system. Now that I'm 30 and my skin has dried out, I use this mask once, or twice a week to clear my pores and to calm inflamed pimples. It works best after a shower when skin is soft and the "gunk," in your Tzone is soft, too. I apply, hang out for twenty or thity minutes and rinse with warm water, or exfoliate with a warm wash cloth. Results are not permanent, but for a few days at least, bye bye blackheads. Remember, for BEST results, use this mask after your shower, or steam your face carefully over a pot of hot water with a towel (to catch the steam) and apply when skin is warm and soft. =o) Review: Cheap and effective. What could be better?

Sulfur is making a comeback, after being a popular anti-acne medication years ago. Back then, it was stinky - as most sulfur is - but now in pharmaceuticals its scent is masked by fragrance. Regardless, the mask is great. 6% Sulfur is roughly what Murad and DDF masks have in them; they cost $30 for 2-3oz. Proactiv is $5. It doesn't burn or irritate the skin. Use once or twice a week on cleaned, moist skin. I use benzoyl peroxide (Neutrogena Clear Pore) wash every day; this mask is for the major clean up duty. Review: DUAL ACTION

This mask is AWESOME. In my repertoire I currently have this product, Queen Helene, Clean and Clear benzoyl peroxide scrub, L'Oreal toner, Biore strips, and the Olay Pro-X system. Let me say this is one of my favorites to use. I certainly agree with the other reviewers about using after the shower. Going even further, if you work out daily, there is nothing better than working out, taking a long hot shower, slapping on a mask and enjoying a cup of tea afterwords. Your pores will be wide open and ready.
I say dual action because this actually makes a stupendous spot treatment as well. So while I will use the mask once or twice a week, if anything... unpleasant....pops up I'll put a dab of this on at night. Not only is it great at combating the acne itself, it reduced redness quite a bit as well. Also, I just happen to LOVE the smell, and using sulphur was unique for me. 5 big fat stars for this one for sure.
Another tip: If you like strips like me, try putting the mask on after using the strips (you'll want to rinse your face with warm water in between). I say this cautiously because it may be disastrous for some of you with super sensitive skin, but I love the sensation, since I am always worried that my strips will dislodge something but not get it totally up and it will hang around. Also I feel like the mask closes up pores after they have been gutted by a strip
