This is the only item in the Proactiv kit that has been continuously effective, to me. Everything else dries my face out.

So I've used tons of acne products, and when I say tons I mean pretty much everything that's available in stores, and then several prescription products. I tried Proactiv, and it really only succeeded in drying my skin out and actually making my acne even worse. The only product in the entire Proactiv system that I actually saw good results with is this refining mask.

I don't use the mask on my entire face, I just use it as an overnight spot treatment. I use a cotton swab to just dab a little bit on the surface of any pimples I have on my face, I let it dry, and I go to sleep with it on. Usually by morning the spot has reduced in size by at least half, or it's completely gone.

If you're someone who has dry, acne-prone skin, you'll have to use it sparingly, because it does really dry your skin.

I've been wanting to order from a source other than proactive because they put you on the automatic shipments. This is for my son and a little goes a very long way. I was very happy to find it on Amazon and the size is larger than I expected. This is definately a great buy.

After spending tons of money on a pricier Rx version, this product does the same thing. Works well to help fight acne and keep your skin looking good. It is not as thick and dries easier than the Rx version I had as well. I would recommend this product to anyone.
