Review: An excellent post-shave cream

For traditional wet shavers, there's an endless number of products available through the internet for that elusive "perfect shave". Higher-end after shave products are no exception, and they range from splashes and balms to tonics and creams. Sitting comfortable in the middle of that pack is the Proraso Pre and Post shave cream. Although some might argue that it doesn't belong among the finer after shave products and is more suited as a pre shave, I think it holds its own, and has a prominent place in my shaving rotation.
Those that know and love Proraso shave cream - but haven't yet tried this product - will be happy to learn that it contains the same menthol zing, albeit in a much more concentrated form. As a result, it can be used as a menthol "supplement" to shaving creams and soaps that don't contain menthol. I often use it during the winter months as a post shave with Institut Karite, a mild shea butter shaving soap for sensitive skin. And, as other reviewers have pointed out, just a few tiny dabs on a wet face is all that's needed to activate that cooling menthol rush.

Absolutely the finest aftershave I've ever used. OK as a preshave, but it really shines as an aftershave. Gives you the cooling, energizing hit of an alcohol-based aftershave lotion, but none of the sting. The creamy balm melts into your skin and you don't need any other lotion (though I usually spritz a bit of cologne or dab on some Cool Water or Tabac aftershave for the wife). I love the Proraso line of shaving supplies especially the pre-shave cream. It gives you the closest shave possible and eases irritation. This is a great product and wish Target would still carry their line. Review: Che bel produtto!

As advertised, it is a nice product! It will remind you of Noxema, but a little more soap-like. Apply it on a wet face before you lather up with your favorite soap. You will get an excellent shave, with a refreshing after-tingle! Once my jar is finished I will certainly buy more! Review: Dries Skin

I think they add glycerin or something to it so it dried my skin to the point of scaling. Glides nice but taking into account problem mentioned earlier stopped using it.
Will recommend shaving soap from Crabtree and Evelyn, Sandalwood or other scents. Price is good and you can buy refills for $8.
I don't know may be it's just my skin so I don't want to completely trash the product.
