Review: Very worthy opponent to Satya Sai Baba's "blue-box" Nag Champa

To be honest, this incense is amazing. It's everything about the Satya Sai Baba's blue-box Nag Champa I love, yet accentuated to the max without overpowering my nostrils/lungs. Simply smelling the stick unburned will let you know what's exceedingly different about the Shanthimalai red-box Nag Champa, as it smells as clear/strong as perfume (if Nag Champa made a perfume, generally as sandalwood? I'm guessing...). Please don't read the previous sentence as a negative!!! Considering it's dried clumps of stuff on sticks intended to burn, the fragrant/clear smell came as a surprise, and is precisely the reasoning behind the very long lingering smell that's now embedded into everything I own (gladly too).
I'm very glad to have stumbled upon this brand and would recommend it to anyone who loves Satya Sai Baba's "blue-box" Nag Champa as a worthy replacement, or as a tag-along for inner Nag Champa variety ;).

Even though I like the scent of this incense, I will not purchase it again. I could not keep the sticks lit and had to re-light each stick approximately 6 or 7 times.

This is a good product with a good aroma to it. However, like someone already pointed out, it extinguishes by itself often. I had to light it at least two or three times for each stick.
Although the smell is pleasant, it is not close to red champa. I am from India and my family uses red champa extensively in rituals all the time. It is also my mother's favorite flower and she wears it in her hair often. Needless to say, we also burn several kinds of incense and red champa is one of my favorite. I usually stock up on it when I go to India. This one very remotely resembles red champa in terms of smell.

this incense smells so good it smells like leather like the smell and ya should buy this brand its the good stuff for the house when ya got nosy neighbors around lol
