I have long thick hair and always thought I needed to buy those skinny expensive straightners but this one works sooooo much better! I absolutely love it. It makes your hair so silky and has different heat settings. Works better than the chi for sure if you have long hair. This product is AMAZING! I have extremely thick, curly, frizzy hair, and with my old straightner, it would take at least 45 minutes the night before, along with another 45 minutes the next morning. This one takes about 15 TOTAL to go from frizzy mess to sleek and shiny. I love it! It does get hot, so it takes a while to find the perfect temperature. Review: Hair Straightener

The straightener indeed seems a little faster with ionic. Every time my wife starts to straighten her huge bundle of hair, the hair straightener whine used to get me crazy.I feel a lot better now. The build quality is also pretty good and sturdy. For this price, this is definitely one of the best. Review: Hands down BEST straightener EVER!

I purchased this straightener after using it at a friends one night. I couldn't believe how great it made my hair look! I have EXTREMELY thick and curly hair (think Curly Sue or Shirley Temple) and this straightener had no problem making my hair extremely soft, smooth, touchable and shiny. I've gotten many compliments about how great my hair looks. It rained the first day I was able to use it and yet my hair remained frizz free.
Hands down this is THE BEST straightener out there. It put my Chi straightener's to shame. Plus this has a digital read out of the temperature on the handle to allow you to find what temperature works best for your hair and you can't beat the price!
