I never thought I needed a straightener with an LCD screen or thermostat, but this thing ROCKS!
You press down the power button firmly, and a bright blue screen lights up.
Next, you choose the actual temperature (not just numbers 1-25, like my old straightener; who knows what temperature it was??) you want, and in less than a minute, beep-beep, it's ready!
The grip is super-comfortable, making the straightener easy to maneuver. The wand isn't that big. There's a rounded edge that I used to give the ends of my hair a bit of a curve, but it would work just as well for simple straightening.
I didn't notice any particular smell, other than that of a new heat appliance. I also didn't notice any unwanted residue from the avocado oil & vitamin E.
This is one terrific piece of equipment, and my old straightener is definitely being handed down!

I like this flat iron and it ranks among some of the best that I have tried. First off it is actually a really pretty-looking product - made of a semi transparent plastic that looks like a blue-green glass.
Functionally, this straightener heats up in about 30 seconds or less. It is lightweight and fits comfortably in the hand. The plates are smooth and feel good on the hair. It never catches any hairs. It makes my hair super straight and it feels smooth and actually picks up a little shine!
I usually do a light straighten, but I tested it and if you continue working, your hair will truly get stick straight. You can turn the temperature up really high on this but depending on your hair type I dont think anything higher than the default temperature is necessary. Its a nice product.

This flat iron does the job. Pro's - adjustable temperature, on/off switch, and ready signal. None of which are available on some more expensive irons. Con's - could use a longer cord. Heated up quickly, and straightened my hair nicely with no frizz. Not sure how long the conditioners are supposed to last or if they really make a difference. I recommend buying it. This straightening iron is great... perfect contour to hold. I use this to straighten my daughters hair and it doesn't get too hot for her and it works the first time around. I don't have to go over it again and again. The features that standout for me are: it heats quickly and is lightweight! The swivel cord was another plus as well. The only thing I can say that was a "con" was that it had a weird smell to it. Nothing horrible just something weird. My daughter first noticed it and made a comment. Don't think I would have made an issue out of it but she did. Review: Great!

A great little flat iron! Works great on my coarse thick short hair, and is perfect size for travel!
