I was very apprehensive in making my purchase of the Ultra Smooth based on some of the earlier reviews. Furthermore, I have sensitive skin and I suffer from chronic seborric dermatitis. But with the current sale on this particular model ($29.99), I said to myself I nothing to lose. I have tried every type of razor, both manual and electric. I even tried a expensive, high-end panasonic wet and dry electric shaver, but the Ultra Smooth Bump is by far the most effective in dealing with my shaving problems. I received my razor earlier this week and I was amazed that I was able to get a nice clean, close shave without nicking my skin or cutting into pre-existing razor bumps. After my shave, my face felt super clean and smooth--no stubble. I can't speak to why some of the reviewers had poor reactions to the razor. I guess you have to rely to the old axiom that everyone's skin is different.
