Review: A disappointing update

I loved the product this replaced but when the attachment lock broke on the old model I needed to buy the new one. This is a complete disappointment. The handle is much larger and harder to hold. The power control button is very difficult to control with just my thumb and the attachments get so hot so quickly, it is impossible to touch them. Plus, the air coming out of the attachments is so hot, you can't hold it close to your scalp for very long so that the curling iron effect is lost.
I'd love to see Revlon bring back the old design. It was perfect and needed no tweaking.

Revlon 1200W Ionic Hot Air Dryer and Styler has ionic technology to dry hair faster by reducing size of water droplets and infusing moisture into hair, preventing frizz and adding volume. It has 1200 watts of power. It styles and dries all types and lengths of hair. It has an Ion "ON/OFF" switch with light. There are 3 heats and 3 speed settings including a cold setting. There are 1" and 1½" interchangeable aluminum thermal barrels retain heat and create large and extra-large curls and waves. It also has an airflow concentrator attachment.The Revlon RV440C Ionic 1 and 1 1/2 inch hot air styler kit includes both a 1" and 1-1/2" hot air styling attachment that use Ion technology for faster, silkier results. Its two interchangeable aluminum barrels retain heat from the 1200 watts of power generated by the styler, and there are two heat settings for maximum flexibility. The styler kit works on all types and lengths of hair.
