Review: Handy but not the one for me

I bought this to take with me on a cruise since I didn't want to travel with my make -up mirror which is large and bulky. This one fits nicely in my tote bag and I could make sure it was handled carefully. It is battery operated which is great since I wasn't sure about having access to many outlets in my cabin. It is very lightweight but won't tip over when using it. All this is great, but when you are older as I am, and have weak eyes, this magnification is too strong on one side and too weak on the other, plus there isn't enough lighting in the mirror itself as well as in the cabin so it was difficult to use properly. Its better than nothing, but I wish I had taken the time to keep searching for a better one. The price is good for something I was only going to need for a short trip though.
Maybe a younger person would like this one just fine. All I know is that the large bulky make-up mirror I use at home is great and I don't have any problem with it, as it has a decent magnification for me and several settings of lighting.
