Product reviews of Secret Brightener Review: Doesn't work on its own. Beauty product: 2 Stars
I use this product under my eyes to lessen the dark circles. However, by itself, I don't see a difference. I still have to use the secret concealer for any type of coverage/lightening of the eye area. Also, the packaging for this product is very bad. It's hard to get the right amount needed and I end up wasting quite a bit.
Review: Secret Brightener Beauty product: 5 Stars
I bought this product hoping for some shimmer and it delivered with excellent results. I have this in the #2 shade which is a sheer, shimmery pinkish-gold. This goes under my eyebrows, in the corner of my eyes (brown) and on top of my cheekbones, it gives a very flattering and natural shimmer. It brightens my eyes and makes them pop. I highly recommend this product.
Review: Under-eye circles are gone! Beauty product: 5 Stars
Normally I have terrible huge bags under my eyes and they are always accentuated by nice dark circles too! This pen was like a godsend! It helped to minimize the darkness and the appearance of circles almost instantly. It's easy to apply and blends quickly. It's not a rich shimmer, it just does an excellent job of reflecting. This is a must-have for anyone who has the same type of under-eye bags and darkness that is often attributed to lighter skinned people. This is a huge helper and worth the $30 investment.
Review: finish that face with some very subtle highlighting Beauty product: 5 Stars
Want to pretend that you have great bone structure? Use this highlighting brush on areas of your face (and collar bone, genius!) that require a bit of a lifted, sculpted look. I use it just above the area I put my blush, and just below (the outer edges of) my eyes. It makes my cheek bones stand out but in a very subtle way. Good blending is key here, or else you'll look streaky. I also use in the inner corners of my eyes to brighten them up. Try drawing a line down the center of your nose and dab it in. See what happens, it's cool. Just before applying lipstick, run the brush just above your upper lip. It makes your top lip look fuller by attracting light.
I love to add dimension to my makeup routine by implicating contouring techniques, and this sweet little secret of mine is fun for the gal who looovvves doing her makeup.
Review: innovative product, not for covering up discoloration Beauty product: 4 Stars
i got snookered into buying this and the matching super secret super brightening power at a neimans one day when i was weak and tired. the powder is awesome, but very messy, by the way (moderately super). this brightener is interesting, it has a halo effect, and is at its most effective when coupled with the matching powder. but it does not do any covering up; no concealing of any kind here. i used up my pen in an astonishingly short period of time, which sort of irritated me, but i learned how to use brighteners i the course of owning it, which was a new technique to me. if you need color under your eyes in addition to brightening (which i sometimes do), you can easily replace this product with benefit's ooh la la lift.
