I got this since the product I REALLY wanted (the John Frieda beach waves salt spray stuff) is no longer made. While this spray smells nice, it didn't create the type of waves / loose curls the Frieda spray did. I have tried it on dry hair, damp hair, completely wet hair and nothing seems to make it really work great. I wound my hair into the "ropes" it tells you to make and it did nothing. I scrunched it like a spray gel and this produced some waves, which then got frizzy when it dried. The Frieda spray reduced the frizz by having a little more oil, whereas this slightly turned me into a puff ball. Overall, I will continue to shop around and in the meantime pray to the John Frieda gods that they start making the salt beach spray stuff again.
