Product reviews of Sephora Brand Nail Whitening Pencil Review: HUGE disappointment Beauty product: 2 StarsThe only helpful component of this product is the pencil-cap with the angled top edge. That does a very nice job of cleaning under the nails and I have also found that it is Very effective as a cuticle pusher - really gets the stubborn cuticle off the nail surface. BUT the white pencil itself is SO frustrating!! I was unbelievably excited when I heard how simple it is, and I just ended up with white marks EVERYwhere I touched- clothes, sheets, tablecloths - and even after I scraped layers of nail off with that cap, my nails did NOT look white. :(
To be fair, I bought this when a friend showed me her "faux manicure" nails and raved about it, so I give it a little credit (2 instead of 1 star) since it works really well for some people (apparently).
Review: Clean nails! Beauty product: 5 StarsI really like the white pencils as I had not been able to find the Revlon ones that I had purchased in the past...so it delighted me to be able to order them and get them quickly and are what I was looking for....Nice bag they came in too!
Review: So Disappointed..... Beauty product: 2 StarsI agree with A.Ernest....I also SOOOO wanted this to work. I am not a big fan of nail polish, so anything that brightens up clear polished nails appealed to me. This product however did little for me. I could barely even see any difference, and what little I could see wore off about an hour later. Not really worth it, but at under $4.50 possibly worth a try. The cuticle pusher tip was almost worth that.
Review: Don't bother Beauty product: 1 StarsI really wanted this to work, because I can't wear nail polish at my job. Wow, was I ever disappointed. Not only were the results very slight and hard to distinguish, but the white, which I have come to believe is just watercolor paint, gets all over your fingertips, and then the entire effect washes off with water! So you go about all day without washing your hands and have white marks on your fingertips. if you want to see the effect without buying this product, you could buy a box of Crayola watercolor pencils, then you'd get the same effect for less money with many different colors to choose from.
Review: YEAH!! Beauty product: 5 Stars I love this! I always use to give myself french manicures, but I could never get them to look natural enough. Now there is this pencil! All you do is run it underneath your nails and... BOOM! You've got a great and natural looking french manicure. (or if you want to be boring you can say it makes the whites of your nails look whiter.) I highly recommend this product. :)
