Saw this natural sunscreen on the EWG list as it was rated #1 and thought I would give it a try. And I must say that I am a happy customer. Most natural sunscreens I've tried are really greasy or don't rub in very well, plus they really don't smell all that great. Not the case here! I was very pleased as it has a nice light tangerine scent, feels great on my skin and rubs in very well. This is the best one I've tried so far and will recommend this sunscreen to all my friends. I found this sunscreen on the EWG 2010 Sunscreen Report and thought I'd give it try since it got a 1 rating. It has a lovely tangerine citrus scent and it leaves a nice, silky feel on my skin. Best part is it's not greasy like most natural sunscreens. It starts out a little white, but soaks into my skin well after a few rubs. I bought this because I am obsessed with skincare and anti-aging. When I saw the percentage of zinc oxide, I had to have it, because my dermatologist educated me on percentages of z.o. in moisturizing sunscreens. And this seemed awesome.
The sunscreen just seems to be too much. It feels too much like a sunscreen and not a moisturizer. I like to slather lotion on and let it sink in for a while before putting on makeup. This stuff is just SO THICK. It doesn't feel like I moisturized, it feels like I put a thin layer of white paint on my face. The tiniest amount is too much. It eventually soaks into the skin, but I still don't feel moisturized.
I like Elta MD. High % of z.o., higher SPF, and feels more like a moisturizer. Lighter, soaks in better, just feels better in general. I will use this as a non-waterproof sunscreen, but not as a combo.
